Female-friendly sports facilities open in Coffs Harbour

An Albanese Government investment will help the Coffs Harbour community enjoy modern, female-friendly sports facilities at the redeveloped Sportz Central complex.

The centre opened today after Coffs Harbour City Council received $6.3 million from the Albanese Government for the extension and redevelopment of the complex to make it more suitable for the whole community.

The complex now includes a new official standard basketball court, new accessible and female friendly amenities and change rooms for players and officials.

There is also a new cricket practice facility and a skate park, both of which are now accessible to pedestrians, as well as additional parking and other upgrades.

The extended complex also provides improved opportunities for volleyball, netball, pickleball, futsal, roller derby, badminton and general fitness activities.
